SET PRIORITY:
In the task manager, you can change the priority of Photoshop to ensure its fast performance. By changing the priority to high or realtime you are essentially allowing Photoshop to take precedence over less important windows processes. Look for Photoshop.exe and set to high or realtime.
To start the task manager, Ctrl-Alt-Delete
